Scholarship Students Terms of Service

Effective date: January 1, 2026
These Terms of Service govern enrollment and participation in the Yorkville Music School Scholarship Program. When a student completes the required scholarship registration process, the parent or legal guardian agrees to the terms outlined below.

These Terms of Service apply exclusively to students enrolled through the Yorkville Music School Scholarship Program registration link. By completing registration through a scholarship-designated payment link, the parent or legal guardian agrees that these Scholarship Students Terms of Service govern the student’s participation. These terms supersede and replace any tuition-based enrollment terms. The most current version will always be available on this page.

1. Enrollment & Eligibility

Lessons are available to children ages 4–13 only. Yorkville Music School currently operates with a single lead instructor. Enrollment is confirmed once scholarship registration is completed.

Lesson readiness is determined based on age, attention span, prior experience, and ability to participate in a structured one-on-one lesson environment. The school reserves the right to decline or discontinue scholarship participation if the instructional setting is not appropriate.

Parents or guardians must disclose any learning differences or developmental considerations, including ADHD, autism spectrum diagnoses, sensory sensitivities, learning disabilities, or behavioral challenges. Yorkville Music School is not a therapeutic or special-education program. Failure to disclose relevant information may result in termination of scholarship participation.

Scholarship participation is granted at the sole discretion of Yorkville Music School and may be revoked if the student or parent fails to comply with these Terms. Scholarship awards have no cash value, are non-transferable, and do not create a contractual entitlement to continued enrollment beyond the stated term.

2. Lesson Structure

Lessons are offered in 30-minute and 45-minute formats and are conducted exclusively in-studio. Lesson times are scheduled weekly and remain consistent for the duration of the scholarship term unless otherwise arranged in writing. Late arrivals do not extend lesson time.

3. Attendance & Cancellations

Attendance is mandatory.

Make-up lessons will not be offered for any reason, including illness, travel, scheduling conflicts, or other absences.

Missed lessons are forfeited.

Scholarship lesson time is reserved exclusively for the awarded student and is non-transferable. A scholarship lesson may not be reassigned, substituted, or attended by a sibling, friend, or any other individual.

Repeated absences, chronic lateness, or failure to attend may result in termination of the scholarship at the discretion of Yorkville Music School.

Lessons canceled by the school due to illness or emergency will not be rescheduled or credited.

4. Payments & Fees

Tuition for scholarship students is covered in full by Yorkville Music School. Parents and/or guardians will receive documentation reflecting scholarship coverage of tuition.

No payment is required from the parent or guardian for the scholarship term.

5. Refund Policy

Scholarship tuition has no cash value and may not be refunded, transferred, exchanged, deferred, or reissued in any form.

6. Trial Lessons

Yorkville Music School offers a one-time complimentary evaluative 20-minute trial lesson for prospective students. Scholarship students are not eligible for additional trial lessons beyond the standard offering.

7. Instruction Continuity

All scholarship students are taught by the lead instructor. No substitute instructors are provided. Lessons canceled due to instructor illness or emergency will not be rescheduled or credited.

8. Student Conduct

Students are expected to arrive prepared and behave respectfully. Disruptive behavior may result in immediate termination of scholarship participation.

9. Practice Expectations

Regular at-home practice is expected and essential for progress. Scholarship participation does not alter instructional standards or expectations.

10. Studio-Only Instruction

Instruction is provided exclusively at the Yorkville Music School studio. In-home, online, or off-site lessons are not offered.

11. Holidays & Closures

The school observes scheduled holidays and seasonal breaks, which will be communicated in advance. Scholarship students are subject to the same holiday schedule as full-tuition students.

12. Photography & Media

Photos, video, and/or audio recordings will be captured during lessons for educational and promotional purposes, including use on the school’s website, social media platforms, digital advertising, Google Business Profile, and other marketing materials.

By enrolling under these Scholarship Terms of Service, the parent or legal guardian grants Yorkville Music School (Sunset Management Group LLC) permission to capture and use such media. This consent is a required condition of scholarship participation and may not be revoked during the scholarship term.

Media captured during the scholarship term may continue to be used for promotional purposes after the scholarship term concludes.

13. Policy Changes

These Terms of Service may be updated periodically. Notice of material changes will be provided to enrolled families. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the current terms.

14. Parent Waiver & Apartment-Based Studio Acknowledgment

Lessons take place in the living room area of a private apartment residence that has been redesigned for studio usage. A kitchen waiting area may be used briefly. Bedrooms and private areas are off-limits and clearly marked. The studio maintains a no-pets policy during lesson times.

Parents and/or guardians are responsible for student arrival, departure, supervision outside lesson time, and any damage caused by their child. Participation carries minimal inherent risk. Emergency services may be contacted if necessary.
